Detroit 2012 Fireworks View from E. Jefferson

Annual Display
Detroit Fireworks 2012

Detroit Video Daily headed out to the corner of East Jefferson and East Grand Blvd. to watch the Detroit Fireworks (right outside the Big Boy). The crowd was definitely smaller this year than the previous year, and who knows maybe it had something to do with the fireworks being on a Monday night. Nonetheless, it's always a good time to check out the event.

European?
This year's fireworks supposedly had a European flair, although I really couldn't tell the difference from previous displays. So I think that the music for the video is fitting. It's a slick track from an artist called Jahzzar. He's from Spain, so there's a European connection. The name of the track is Fireworks. I figured I couldn't go wrong by selecting it.

Grand Finale
Not sure if it was just me, but the grand finale seemed a bit light this year. I'm curious what other people thought. Let's put it this way, it was over so quick I didn't get a chance to take any photos. At any rate, hope you enjoy the brief video!

Did you go to the fireworks this year? What were your impressions? Leave a comment and let me know.

  1. I think they got the last two songs out of sequence. I think William Tell should have been the last song. If that was not the case, the finale was pretty lame.

    1. Thanks for your comment! Interesting about the song order, since I was so far away I couldn't hear the music. The finale definitely seemed shorter.
